What I'm all about

Hi I'm Natalie,
A 27 year old, Perth girl currently living in Horsham Victoria AU. I've always lead an active life with decades of dancing, horse riding and a general interest in keeping active.

Since moving interstate and working a job that required much travel both interstate and nationally, I found it changed my motivations and shifted my focus to being office / car / plane bound, working long hours behind the wheel of a car or in front of a laptop. Living alone it was easier to grab take out for meals than cook or have business meetings over dinner which always meant over indulging and social drinking.

I began to change into someone I wasn't happy with =(

...18 months ago I moved to a country town in Victoria to be with my partner. It was at this same time a new Anytime Fitness Gym opened and a great personal trainer and his girlfriend moved to town.
We signed up... never to look back.

I began the process of regular gym sessions but was lacking directing. I purchased a 30 session block of training and started twice a week. My trainer introduced me to one-on-one weight training and a group boot camp class.

My body and mind has been transformed. I workout happily 5-6 days a week and have managed to maintain my work ethic and increased my workout's output.

I'm defiantly 'that sort of person' who when they put their mind to something I go at it 100%. I'm now at the point where I need a goal to work towards and have decided to compete next year at FitX in Melbourne in the sport fitness / bikini division.

I have spent the last 8 weeks working with a world champion bikini competitor Zoe Daly, as my online training and nutrition coach, and now we are about to go at it for 14 weeks as comp prep.

My partner Steve and I decided to 'practice what we preach' and have enrolled with Fit College to complete our cert 4 in fitness. We don't have any immediate aspirations to start as personal trainers or gym managers at the end of this course however I hope it aids me become a better sports person, a leader, a motivator and who knows where achievements take us these days.

I chose to enroll with Fit College as they have a great reputation in the fitness industry and have been suggested by people I admire. They have a fantastic 'online' teaching program as I will be working via correspondence.

I look forward to working my way through this course and becoming a 'better version of me'!

Happy training ya'll - will keep you posted ~Nat.

No excuses with work travel - "fail to prepare, prepare to fail"
